Tools for treatment

MICROSCOPE

Dental microscopes have become an essential tool when performing root canal treatment. They assist the endodontist in locating all the intricate anatomy of a tooth.  This includes canals which have calcified, missed canals, and detection of fractures. Dental microscopes are used in every case to allow for more precise and predictable treatment.

CONE BEAM CT (CBCT)

Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) captures three dimensional images of your mouth using a combination of radiography and computers. These images reveal teeth, bone, soft tissues, and nerve pathways within a single scan. A dental CT scan is used when a digital x-ray does not provide enough information for proper diagnosis and treatment. It can even provide information when treatment is not necessary. Our cone beam CT is a focused view of the area of interest, thereby reducing the amount of radiation needed for diagnosis.

DIGITAL RADIOGRAPHY

Digital radiography allows us to visualize the tooth in a fast and accurate method to determine the treatment necessary. It's advantages include reducing radiation dose, ability to electronically send images between doctors, as well as to eliminate the chemicals necessary to develop conventional film.  We are also able to project the images onto a large monitor to educate patients on their treatment.
