BEFORE YOUR VISIT
What should I do before I come in?
We strive to gather most of your information before your appointment in order to make your visit more efficient. Acquiring your dental insurance information will help us give you the most accurate cost estimate for necessary treatment. We have provided forms below which you can fill out ahead of your appointment to further expedite the process.
Should I eat before coming?
Since most procedures require local anesthetic, it is highly recommended that you eat a small meal prior to coming in for treatment. We ask that you avoid eating for an average of 3 hours after your visit, however you can drink immediately afterwards.
Should I take any medications before coming in?
Please take all of your everyday medications, including blood thinners (unless explicitly instructed). However, there are situations in which a patient is having pain associated with a tooth which has not yet been identified. In such cases, a proper evaluation cannot be performed if a patient has taken any pain medications, and may require rescheduling. This includes over-the-counter medication like ibuprofen, acetaminophen, or Aleeve. Therefore, please do not take ANY pain medication prior to your visit, unless explicitly advised by your endodontist. Please call us if you have any questions regarding this.
Can I drive myself?
For all procedures performed, you should be able to drive yourself to and from the office. The only exception is if you have taken anti-anxiety medication, in which case you will need someone else to drive you. Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is provided upon request, however does not require that someone drives you, as its effects dissipate within minutes after conclusion of treatment.
Do you provide financing?
The fees in our office are on par with those throughout the area. The cost of treatment is due to the high cost of dental supplies and the years of specialized training to master the procedure. We are a participating provider with many dental insurance plans, as well as offer programs that may help financially with the cost of your dental care. Please let us know if you have any questions.
